City Signs Cooperation of Creative Economy Development in Jakarta

Jakarta Provincial Government and Creative Economy Board signed the cooperation agreement related to economy creative development in Jakarta, especially at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Central Jakarta.

Through this cooperation, we will encourage ekraf in Jakarta with TIM as the pilot project

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat said, TIM as arts and culture icon will be encouraged to be the center of creative economy development in Jakarta.

"Creative economy products that will be displayed at TIM must pass the selection first. Through this cooperation, we will encourage ekraf in Jakarta with TIM as the pilot project,"  he said on Monday (10/2).

TIM Revitalization Hoped to Complete This October

He explained, actually Indonesia has an advantage in its natural resources. But it will be useless if not utilized optimally.

"This is our challenge in making ekraf to produce more from our plentiful natural resources. Thus we need to encourage creative economy industry fully," he affirmed.

Creative Economy Board Head, Triawan Munaf hopes, TIM can be developed as creative economy iconic project in Indonesia.

"With this cooperation agreement, we will give a great attention and Jakarta must become a benchmark," he closed.
